It is a pleasure to have you visit my site. I am living beyond a dichotomy which has forced women to discard holy parts of their erotic wisdom to gain respect and protection in a misogynoir worldview. Within our society exists a polarizing perception of women in general as either “good,” chaste, and virtuous women or as “bad,” promiscuous, and seductive whores.  

My womanist sexual ethic suggests this opposition stems from a desire to reinforce dominating tactics which restricts women’s autonomy to be both spiritually and sexually liberated. The “good girl” image cons women into banishing their sexual power through the coercive judgements of shame. Shame causes us to compartmentalize our identities, dividing our humanity into two separate categories, never the two shall meet.  

As a reflection of the divine, I hold both the dark and light of life, which is a redeeming force for myself, everything connected to me and all I am connected to. I believe Spirit is waiting for us to come to ourselves and seek her in the repressed places of our souls so we can heal what separates us. 

May the Creator embolden your pursuit towards healing unapologetically. May the Lord remind you of your capacity to love and be loved. May the Spirit restore what was taken so that you may be a force of nature and bring glory to your ancestors.
